Privacy policy
Xymatics does not collect personal data. Audio you open is processed on your device and never uploaded. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no cookies.
This policy covers the Xymatics website (xymatics.com), the Xymatics web app (lab.xymatics.com), the Xymatics Mac app, and the native Xymatics app for Mac, iPhone and iPad when it is released. “We” means the developer of Xymatics.
Your audio
When you open an audio file, it is decoded, played, visualized and analyzed on your device. In the web app your browser does this work; in the apps your Mac, iPhone or iPad does. Xymatics has no upload feature, and no Xymatics server ever receives your audio or the results of its analysis.
Two planned Premium features work the same way. Videos you export are made on your device and saved where you choose. Live listening uses your microphone or audio input only while you have it turned on; the sound is analyzed as it arrives and is not recorded or sent anywhere.
What each part of Xymatics loads
- This website is hosted on GitHub Pages and loads its fonts, images and styles from its own address. GitHub may record technical details of each request, such as your IP address, to operate and secure the service; see the GitHub Privacy Statement.
- The web app is served from our own server. Like most web servers, it keeps standard request logs (IP address, time, page requested and browser type) to keep the service running and secure; we do not use them to identify or profile anyone. The web app currently loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads; see the Google Privacy Policy. The web app does not use cookies or local storage.
- The Mac app includes its fonts, guide and models and works offline. Its security policy only allows connections to the app itself. Reference links in the guide open in your browser only when you click one.
- The native app for Mac, iPhone and iPad is in development. It is designed to collect no data. If that changes before release, this policy will be updated first.
Purchases
Premium will be sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment and manages subscriptions under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether Premium is unlocked for your Apple ID.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and to fix what you report. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your email with anyone.
Children
Xymatics collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
